2012 MVP Honoree Donates to Feed The Children

|

In the month of December, Scorpion Design honored its 2012 MVP. This year, our honoree has chosen to give their donation to the Feed The Children effort, an organization which has consistently met the BBB Wise Giving Alliance Standards for Charity Accountability. Founded in 1979, Feed The Children has since grown into one of the world's largest charities.

It is the mission of this charity to help "provide hope and resources for those without life's essentials." This is accomplished by adhering to their core values of Christian values, as well as integrity, resourcefulness, stewardship and transparency. Feed The Children has made it their vision that someday, with the help of their international efforts, that no child will ever go hungry.

In the United States, Feed The Children has made partnerships with more than 1,200 local programs—from food pantries to churches and even soup kitchens. Together, they are able to provide meals to more than 400,00 families—including necessities such as toothbrushes and school supplies. Since efforts have begun, more than 650,000 backpacks have been distributed domestically with these school children items, including age-appropriate books to homeless students.

The organization has also made significant efforts on an international front and is a growing force in more than 15 different countries. Through this international outreach, they are able to provide more than 350,000 hot meals to children and families. They have also made an effort to promote clean water, as well as helping to meet other community needs to foster a healthy living environment. If you would like to learn more about this charity, or if you would like to donate yourself, please visit them online at www.feedthechildren.org. While there, you can send a donation immediately, sign up for their newsletter and more.
