Scorpion is Now Accepting Applications for 2022 Scorpion Cares Scholarships

Scorpion Cares Scholarship

Four $10,000 scholarships will be given to deserving students on a path toward business and technology careers

At Scorpion, we’re committed to making a difference in the lives of our clients and the communities where we operate. We have a proud history of supporting local organizations our employees are passionate about, particularly those focused on protecting children and youth, promoting education, curing cancer, and fighting hunger. We believe in supporting our local businesses and their communities—one good deed at a time.

For several years, Scorpion Cares has contributed to local charities, and even provided financial assistance for clients, their families, and Scorpion employees during times of extreme difficulty.

In 2021, the program was expanded to provide scholarships to deserving students to help support their education in pursuit of careers in business and technology. And today, Scorpion announced the launch of its second year of scholarships by officially inviting all qualified students to apply.

Four scholarships of $10,000 each will be awarded in the following categories:

  • Scorpion’s Women in Technology Scholarship - For women pursuing a career in technology
  • Scorpion’s Future Designers Scholarship- For anyone with the dreams of being a web, product or brand designer
  • Scorpion’s Business Leadership Scholarship- For Black or African American students pursuing a business degree
  • Scorpion's Community Impact Scholarship- For students who have made a positive impact in their community or plan to make a positive impact in their community

Beginning on March 15, 2022 all eligible students interested in applying for one of these scholarships, should submit their application here. The deadline for all submitted applications is April 12, 2022. Scholarship America will notify all applicants by mid-June whether or not they were awarded a scholarship.

To be eligible applicants must:

  • Be a high school senior or graduate or current college undergraduate student in the United States
  • Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year
  • Have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent)
  • Demonstrate financial need

The selection criteria for all finalists includes the consideration of academic performance, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, a statement of career and educational goals and objectives, unusual personal or family circumstances, an online recommendation and a statement on how students have made a positive impact on their community.
