Every month, amazing employees that exceed even Scorpion’s standards are recognized for their outstanding contributions to the team. At random, one of these Scorpion Employees of the Month is given the opportunity to have $1,000 donated by Scorpion to a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization of their choice. This month, it was Vice President of Internet Marketing Kevin Thomson who was honored, and he in turn chose The Dawg Squad, an organization that rescues and fosters homeless dogs in the Los Angeles area. All cash donations go to help afford the medical, food, rehabilitation, and training costs.
“Dawg Squad’s mission is to rescue dogs from the streets, abusive situations, neglect, and from high-kill animal shelters. They provide medical attention, rehab, training, and a place for the dogs to live until a permanent adoptive home is found,” explains Kevin. “Dogs have a special place in my heart, and I truly admire an organization that so passionately dedicates itself to saving and helping out dogs in need.”
The Dawg Squad ensures all dogs are spayed / neutered and microchipped prior to being adopted into their new families. They have placed over 1,600 dogs in loving homes since they began. Kevin’s family knows this from experience. “We adopted 2 of our 3 amazing dogs through this organization (pictured above). We love little Paczki and Tommy as if they were our children, and I am beyond grateful to Dawg Squad for bringing them into our lives.”
