Great news! Google no longer requires background checks while setting up a local service ads (LSA) profile for ALL lawyers and real estate agents in certain states.

Alabama, Arizona, California. Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas. Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska. Nevada, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming

Local service ads (LSA) are a type of Google ad for a local business. They can be a major resource to help you gain new potential customers, show up in search results better, and pay only for the ppc ads advertising that earns you leads by helping get your Google My Business page to the top of search engines. However, getting your profile set up can be a lengthy, time-consuming process.

The background check process is the most rigorous of the onboarding requirements, previously taking anywhere from three to nine weeks to fully process. Now that the requirements are lifted for all legal providers and real estate agents in these states, lawyers and real estate agents should jump on this opportunity. Now, there's no more waiting months to get set up. With Scorpion, you could even go live as soon as the same day your profile is set up.

"This local service ads (LSA) update is a massive gamechanger for our legal clients. In the past, background checks would take weeks or even months to clear and that's especially true for law firms with multiple offices or practice areas," says Michael Eiden, Director of Internet Marketing at Scorpion. "With this new setup, it allows us the opportunity to hit the ground running immediately and start generating leads for our clients."."

Real estate agents in the following states still need to go through background check process to get their Google local service ad approved to start advertising and getting new potential customers:

Alaska, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Montana, New Mexico, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Vermont, District of Columbia, North Carolina, New Hampshire

If you reside in a state where background checks are not required, you could be receiving leads the same day Scorpion sets up your profile. Sign up for LSAs today.

Local service ads paired with a good search engine optimization (SEO) strategy can help make sure that your business is showing up on search engines when people are looking for your local business.
