About the Senior Network Engineer role:
As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, deployment, and support of Scorpion’s network infrastructure – spanning both on-premise resources and cloud resources. You will be challenged with supporting and revamping the existing network layout to meet availability, performance, and redundancy objectives.
The responsibilities of this position demand a person who is driven, passionate about technology, and has a strong sense of responsibility and ownership over the area.
What You'll Do
Responsibilities:
- Establish network observability tooling.
- Build and maintain network map.
- Install and configure networking hardware.
- Monitor network performance and reliability.
- Analyze network issues and report network problems.
- Create and implement network security measures.
- Conduct regular network performance tests.
- Troubleshoot escalated network support issues.
- Create and distribute network status reports.
What You'll Need
Qualifications:
- 10 years of network administration or equivalent in a closely related activity.

Strong experience in the following areas:
- Load balancing technologies (HAProxy, F5)
- Kubernetes ingress controllers (HAProxy, Istio/Envoy)
- Firewalls (Juniper, Cisco)
- DDoS mitigation
- Software-Defined WAN
- Linux (bash, SSH)
- Experience working with:
- Kubernetes
- DevOps pipelines
- Code-driven configuration
What You'll Need
Bonus Points - Experience working with:
