Job Overview

We’re looking for an experienced, strategic, and compassionate Content Writer to join our Corporate Communications team!

Corporate Communications exists at Scorpion for the purpose of telling the story of our corporate brand to inspire our customers, investors, industry influencers, employees, and the general public. As a fast-growing company in the marketing / SaaS space, we strive to strike the right balance of excitement for our wins, care, and transparency in the messages we distribute to our employees. We want to make sure that our audiences both internally and externally clearly understand the Scorpion story. As we continue to grow and work in a remote world, our digital communications needs have increased, and our need to inspire our community around a single message has never been more important.

As a Content Writer on the Corporate Communications team, you’ll be responsible for creating copy that is informative, engaging, and helps keep our employees, media, investors, potential candidates, and customers abreast of the latest information about Scorpion. Since you’ll work closely on a team tasked with supporting our VP of Corporate Communications, you need to have excellent work ethic, be a team player who’s always willing to go the extra mile, and have a strong writing background. This role is ideal for someone with 5+ years of experience as a copywriter who loves to contribute to messaging behind the scenes. What You'll Do

Responsibilities:

  • Write highly engaging content that reflects not only our brand’s voice but also considers the messaging and intent behind the communication
  • Collaborate with various teams to develop a variety of content marketing materials
  • Produce error-free content that adheres to the company’s brand and style guidelines
  • Simultaneously manage multiple projects / communications including some with expedited deadlines
  • Propose copy concepts and present strategic content ideas to the entire Corporate Marketing team and/or leadership team members
  • Revise, edit, and proofread content as needed
  • Treat requests with urgency and ensure they are fully completed

What You'll Need

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in developing copy for a growing organization
  • Must have experience with product marketing, sequencing email marketing campaigns, writing great headlines, and strong calls to action
  • Experience in producing copy for both digital and print
  • Digital marketing experience is a plus but not required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in journalism, English, or other related field required OR equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree
