Job Overview

Scorpion is looking for a Lead Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our team!

As the Lead Sales Development Representative, you will be responsible for building, scaling, and leading our first sales development organization. You will be an integral part of the sales leadership team by providing continuous mentorship to our SDRs, refining our inbound sales processes, defining and tracking our KPIs, and spearheading SDR recruiting. You will also work closely with other leaders in sales, marketing, sales operations, marketing operations, and sales enablement to drive the strategy for the sales development team.

What You'll Do

Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, hire, coach, and manage a team of Sales Development Representatives
  • Proactively identify and launch initiatives to drive new sales development growth and operational excellence
  • Monitor and refine processes, metrics, and tools to maximize success on the SDR team
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual pipeline and revenue targets
  • Report on pipeline-building metrics and forecast to senior sales management
  • Collaborate with sales enablement for targeted training and development
  • Motivate individuals and team to exceed objectives through coaching and mentorship
  • Work with marketing and sales operations to ensure thorough follow up of inbound leads
  • Empower your team to take ownership of their territory
  • Ensure that team metrics are aligned with the broader organizational objectives
  • Provide insightful feedback from prospect conversations to product, sales and marketing leadership

What You'll Need

Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience managing high performing sales development teams
  • Humility and empathy for the challenges our prospects face on a daily basis
  • Travel to conferences and industry events as necessary (less than 10%)BS/BA Degree or equivalent experience required
  • Direct experience as an SDR and Account Executive preferred
  • History of over-performance against quotas as both a Sales Rep and Sales Manager
  • Preference for a leader who has built a new team or grown a team significantly
  • Strong understanding of sales performance metrics and how to manage your business by the numbers
  • Proficient with CRM software and Sales tech stack such as LinkedIn Sales Nav, Gong, ZoomInfo, Clari, etc.
  • Leadership, Coaching, and Mentoring Skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
