Job Overview

As a Web Content Manager, you will oversee the creation of fresh and unique content for the Scorpion Platform demo site and the corporate Scorpion website. By analyzing and understanding what types of content perform best and where, you will have the exciting opportunity to directly increase engagement and immediately connect visitors to the Scorpion brand.
You will have an exceptionally creative, innovative mindset to create visually stimulating content that truly sets Scorpion apart from others in our industry. By collaborating with the Web Testing/Optimization Manager, you will ensure that all content we present is of the highest quality, aligns with our branding guidelines, and offers a seamless experience during demos. In addition, you will have experience using Adobe products such as Illustrator and Photoshop as well as proficiency with HTML/CSS/JavaScript, etc. 

What You'll Do

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the creation of content that appears on Scorpion’s website, ensuring consistency to our brand and aesthetic 
  • Conceptualize and recommend new and engaging content pieces and bring them to life
  • Consult with design and web testing/optimization teams in determining the optimal structure and layout of content
  • Proofread all content for grammatical errors, tone, consistency, etc. and/or use any necessary tools to ensure content is 100% error-free prior to publication
  • Audit and/or refresh any overused or tired content that no longer fits or performs poorly
  • Track web presence metrics and create action plans for underperforming areas

What You'll Need

Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or other relevant field preferred OR equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years creating, managing, and optimizing content
  • Experienced in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of web development languages such as HTML, CSS, MySQL, Java, Javascript, etc.
  • A highly creative and visual mindset capable of devising and creating original content
  • Exceptional communication skills and especially strong grammar to write and proofread content
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
