Candidate Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8/21/26
At Scorpion, we are committed to ensuring that your personal information is protected and never misused.
Scorpion (“Scorpion,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share throughout our recruiting process. This Candidate Privacy Notice explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect your personal information when you apply for employment or contract opportunities with Scorpion. This notice applies to applicants who apply through our Greenhouse-hosted careers site, recruiters, employee referrals, recruiting events, social media, or other recruiting channels.
If you are a California resident, please also review our California Candidate Privacy Notice, which supplements this notice with additional rights under California law.
What personal information do we collect?
We collect personal information two main ways: information you provide to us directly, and information we obtain from other sources.
- Information you provide when you contact or interact with us through our Greenhouse-hosted careers site, email, phone, or recruiting events. For example, when you inquire about an opportunity or submit a CV or resume. This may include your name, email address, postal address, contact number, and career history, as well as any other personally identifiable information you choose to share with us. We may also ask for additional information to assist with our recruitment process and in the event you are offered a job.
- Information from other sources, such as employee referrals, recruiters, recruiting events, and publicly available professional profiles (for example, LinkedIn). We may combine this with the information you provide to assess your suitability for a role.
You can decline to provide certain information, or ask us to remove from our records information that you previously shared. If you do so, you may not be able to progress an application or take full advantage of a career at Scorpion.
AI-Assisted Recruiting Tools
We use technology to assist with recruiting tasks such as interview scheduling, video interviewing, and note-taking. For example, during virtual interviews we may use an AI-assisted note-taking tool to capture notes and transcripts. Where this tool is used, you will be notified before the interview and asked for your consent, and you may decline its use without any effect on your candidacy.
These tools support our recruiting process but do not make hiring decisions. Employment decisions are made by our recruiters and hiring teams using multiple job-related factors.
How do we use your personal information?
We share your personal information with certain third parties who provide services on our behalf. They only have access to the personal information they need to perform those services. They are required to keep your personal information confidential and may not use it other than as we ask them to, and always in accordance with this privacy policy.
We use the personal information you share with us in the following ways:
- To communicate with you
- To provide you with updates about your Scorpion application
- To provide services and support for any application you make
- To facilitate any application you make to Scorpion
- To provide updates to you about any changes to Scorpions' policies, terms and conditions, and any other matters which we may need to tell you
- If you have asked us to keep you informed of other opportunities at Scorpion, we may periodically contact you to tell you about these
- To respond to your queries and requests
We are required by law to state a “legal basis for processing,” i.e., to tell you on what grounds we are allowed to use your information. In order to assess your suitability for a role and consider your job application, including information obtained from the sources described above, we rely upon legitimate interests for the processing of your personal information as described above.
Subprocessors and service providers
We share candidate personal information with service providers who perform recruiting functions on our behalf, including our applicant tracking and careers site hosting provider (Greenhouse), a video-interviewing provider, an AI-assisted note-taking provider, and, after a conditional offer, and background-check provider. Each is contractually required to use the information only to provide services to us and to protect it consistent with this notice.
Contacting you in the future
If you have opted in to be informed of other opportunities at Scorpion, our team may contact you via email, post, SMS, social media platforms, and by phone. We will retain your information for this purpose until you unsubscribe or ask us to stop.

- Application status updates
- Interview scheduling and confirmations

We do not use SMS messaging for marketing purposes, and we do not sell or share your mobile number or SMS consent with third parties for their marketing use.

Please read the SMS Terms & Conditions here.
Links to third party websites
We may provide links to other websites which are not operated and controlled by Scorpion.
We have no control over and are not responsible for the content of those sites or how the third parties responsible for them collect and use your personal information. We do not endorse or make any representations about third party websites.
Third party websites may have their own privacy policies explaining how they use and share your personal information. You should carefully review those privacy policies before you use these websites to make sure that you are happy with how your personal information is being collected and shared.

If we do not employ you, we may retain your personal information for up to 7 years, as required by state law, for legal, analytical, and system administration purposes and to consider you for potential future roles. Thereafter, we may retain a minimal amount of your personal data to record your recruiting activity with us.
If you are successful in your application and hired by Scorpion, the Company will retain information collected during the application and interview process, and thereafter during your employment with Scorpion, in accordance with state and federal laws.
How do we protect your personal information?
Scorpion is committed to protecting the personal information you share during the recruiting process. We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
Access to candidate information is limited to employees and authorized service providers who require it to perform their job responsibilities. Scorpion uses security measures such as role-based access controls and Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication to help protect access to recruiting systems.
