EOMs Donate to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America and Three Angels Posted by Scorpion | 2.7.13 2:30pm

Two separate employees were honored by Scorpion Design for their above and beyond effort as Employees of the Month (EOM) in January 2013. Both employees chose to give their donations to separate charities. One chose to give their donation to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America (AFA), an organization which lives by the philosophy of "caring for the nation, one person at a time." AFA was founded by several different organizations who hoped that through their work, they could help lessen the gap in the quality of care given to individuals affected by Alzheimer's disease. It is their mission to "provide optimal care and services to individuals confronting dementia." Not only do they work to better the quality of life for these individuals, they also work to increase awareness throughout the nation. Learn more about the AFA and how you can help by clicking here.

The other EOM honoree chose to donate their portion to Three Angels Children's Relief, a group who works to provide hope for children throughout Haiti. Currently, there are thousands of children in Haiti who are living in severe poverty conditions; almost half of all children under the age of five are malnourished and a staggering ninety eight percent of children will never graduate from high school. It is the mission of Three Angels to provide hope to these children by helping them escape poverty. Their goal for these true orphans is simple: "that they are cared for in a Christ-centered environment and placed in loving Christian families." When possible, they work to keep Haitian families together, but when this is not possible, they work to create new loving families and home environments.
