The State of Legal Internet Marketing

Tony McGinnis's Headshot Tony McGinnis Executive Vice President of Internet Marketing

When looking at the current state of internet marketing as it affects law firms, it’s important to note that the market is constantly changing. While these areas aren’t new to Scorpion, we’ve created one team to handle the legal needs of clients practicing in employment law, immigration, bankruptcy, business law, and more. This means massive opportunities for our legal clients—because they now have the resources and support of a dedicated team of marketing professionals who are solely focused on the specifics of their business objectives.

Right now, online consumers are inundated with more than they can process; they’re receiving information from multiple channels at all hours of the day and night. Our clients are no different. At Scorpion, we’re here to help cut through that noise and develop a strategy that helps them grow and thrive. How? By connecting with our clients so much so that we operate as their partners in business—celebrating in their successes and strategizing for future wins.

What makes Scorpion unique is that we build relationships based on trust, and we take the time to fully understand our clients’ business goals—from expansion plans to intake needs to reputation building, and more. We also have a unique advantage at our fingertips that no other online marketing firm has: Scorpion’s state-of-the-art proprietary technology, which we use to develop smart campaign strategies for our clients. The machine learning and predictive analytics developed at Scorpion are second to none, and our clients will continue to benefit from them because we will never stop innovating the way we learn, the way we develop, and the way we analyze information.

The key to our success is the way we communicate our strategies, our work, and our technology to the clients we partner with. These components are the backbone of Scorpion, and when shared with the client on a regular basis, they become the backbone of their business as well. Changes in the market are no longer an issue for our clients because we’ve already developed strategies to seamlessly change with them instead of reacting to them, and we’ve proactively communicated those strategies at every stage of the development process.

In 2020, our focus will be to grow the many channels available for marketing our clients online. With more people using their phones, and more exposure at users’ fingertips, we’re creating an online experience and journey that caters to all of these and more—knowing full well this will help legal clients make smart and strategic decisions when it comes to online marketing. Because we now live in a multi-channel environment, clients don’t have to spend their entire budget on a single marketing avenue like PPC in order to be successful; now, they have access to other options and price points (for example, employing a social media campaign) that can be utilized to put them in front of more potential clients.

What we’ve learned is that you can communicate a strong, passionate message online through your website and marketing strategy without wasting money or spending more than you can afford. Where another business might just throw money on a problem to “fix” their online presence, Scorpion business partners get in front of the right potential clients using the right channels. In the end, this results in a better return on investment and ultimate success for the business—and that’s the true state of legal internet marketing with Scorpion.
