In March of 2018, attorney Jose E. Lopez opened Orlando’s newest criminal defense firm—The Law Office of Jose E. Lopez.

To bring clients into his nascent firm, Jose started investing what funds he could into marketing, buying lead lists and creating helpful mailers to distribute across the community—two marketing tactics a lot of criminal defense attorneys in the Orlando area were known for.

But by June of 2018, Jose recognized his approach to marketing wasn’t working. Yes, he was retaining clients, but he wasn’t retaining enough to sustain a practice. If the practice was going to be successful and capable of supporting his new family, Jose would have to find a better way to attract clients.
