What You'll Do
Our company is driven to find a great creative and strategic thinker to guide the build-out and execution of branding services for our clients.  We’re looking for an experienced creative, someone that can inspire others while taking our creative efforts to a new level. As the Creative Director, you will be responsible for translating a Creative Brief and various branding strategies into big ideas.  Your role will be to bring sparks of inspiration, consumer intuition (supported by strategy) and pop culture to connect on an emotional level with the targeted consumer. You are charismatic to your team and adjacency functions, as well as with the client. You are able to take complex marketing issues/challenges and boil them down to simple consumer truths which become big ideas that resonate with the consumer.

Other Responsibilities Include:

  • Prioritize work and resources across engagements based on short- and long-term needs, establishing production schedules by collaborating with designers, copywriters, and production departments.
  • Conduct brainstorming sessions with creative team, maintaining strategic and creative thinking to develop innovative and actionable creative initiatives in a fiscally responsible manner.
  • Review and approve art and copy developed by the team, ensuring deliverables effectively address marketing goals and challenges.
  • Produce fresh, innovative work that translates complex ideas into compelling print materials and digital experiences for visually sophisticated audiences.
  • Present/oversee presentation of final concepts, and obtain approvals for deliverables.
  • Help with the sales process, scope of work, and proposals.
  • Responsible for the mentoring and development of junior talent.
  • Internal and external relationship management: communicates key information and decisions to the team and client regularly.

What You'll Need

  • The Creative Director will bring a mix of marketing expertise and business understanding of the position.
  • The Creative Director must have a natural eye for design and a drive to inspire dynamic ideas that connect with all types of audiences.
  • The Creative Director also follows the latest trends in design, advertising, and marketing, can help attract clients, and hire creative staff.
  • 5+ years of related experience with 5+ years of creative direction within an agency setting.
  • 5+ years of experience creating marketing/advertising campaigns from developing vision and the message platform to overseeing production on time and budget.
  • Experience and solid understanding of creating integrated content across all marketing channels: digital, social media, paid media, and mobile; an understanding of offline and print advertising a plus.
  • Proven experience with concept development.
  • Attributes: We are seeking a highly collaborative team player that is flexible and fast on their feet. Likewise, we're looking for a Creative Director with a strong creative vision and has a knack for business acumen.
  • Prior experience with copy-writing, design, and production a plus.
