Job Overview
As an Advertising Escalation Manager, you will ensure the client’s campaign is set up to succeed, and that their advertising is run following the playbook we’ve set at Scorpion.
When a specific partner or channel is not delivering the success we expect it to, our advertising system will automatically “escalate” this client and their campaign to review with the expert in the Advertising Escalation Manager role. Your main goal is to return the client to a place where they have a cost per lead that surpasses their expectations.
For any clients that don’t perform, the Advertising Escalation Manager is there to help put them back on track by helping to find the real cause of the problem and not something that may be pretending to be the problem. If it was actually a system failure, they rapidly provide the data and evidence and give feedback to the rest of the advertising organization so that something can be done about it.
What You'll Do
Responsibilities:
- Look at each individual client holistically and determine what changes and improvements will help ensure they succeed again
- Understand and identify how other similar clients are succeeding and the ways in which the escalated client is not to drive improvement and retention
- Get to the root cause of problems efficiently to minimize impact, ensuring the identified issue is the true source
- Identify whether the issue is on the marketing side and appropriately communicate in a thoughtful manner
- Ensure Advertising 3.0 is being used with clients for optimal performance
- Take full responsibility and interest in seeing your clients improve
- Improve the overall strategy and goals of the advertising area by reporting and providing data & solutions to the leader of the area
- Guard against the use of hacks, manual work, or anything that takes us away from automation
- Provide valuable insights back to the marketing manager, along with a recommended course of action
- Analyze search engine, conversion rates, specific keywords, quality scores of ads, landing pages, page speed, mobile site functionality, etc. for each client
- Push for automation to resolve performance issues surfaced by the system
- Thoroughly review your queue promptly each day
- Help keep churn low and clients happy to minimize the impact across the organization
- Share your findings on any performance issues found with your team
