Job Overview
As an IT Manager, you will oversee the IT Support Specialists and IT Systems team tasked with offering prompt, professional, and knowledgeable technical support. You will ensure your team provides internal assistance in a timely manner and step in to help with escalated complex issues as needed. Your end goal as the IT Manager is to make sure that all Scorpions are set up for success in their workstations, whether remote or on-site and to optimize productivity and eliminate system issues and downtime.
In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have hands-on Tier 3 troubleshooting experience with a focus on desktop support, servers, application support, and deployment, enabling you to understand what it takes to keep your team running smoothly and successfully as well as to provide ongoing training and development to your team.
What You'll Do
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the IT team, including directly supervising employees, hiring, and handling employee concerns and performance
- Ensure the success of IT Support Specialists through ongoing coaching, training, and mentorship
- Interface with all Scorpion staff and externally with consultants and vendors to support our technology
- Develop and implement all policies and procedures for the IT team
- Oversee all major IT projects
- Create user documentation and assist with the creation and development of user training documentation
- Compile metrics that help create business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives
- Ensure timely resolution of all IT support tickets and follow up on unresolved issues
- Make recommendations and implement changes to improve system performance
- Stay up to date with new technologies, applications, software, etc.
What You'll Need
Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in an IT Management Role
- Windows 10 & macOS systems
- Ticketing Systems
- Exchange Online and O365 Administration
- AWS and Azure
- Windows Servers
- Okta or other Identity Providers
- Virtualization technologies (VMWare, ESXi, and vCenter)
- Backup Technologies and Disaster Recovery
- Excellent people skills and communication skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams, and third parties
- Meticulous attention to detail
