Job Overview

As an IT Support Specialist, you will help oversee computer systems for Scorpion and offer support to all Scorpion users. You will provide internal assistance, work directly with employees who use the computer systems, and ensure each team member is set up for success in their workstations. 

In order to be successful in this role, you will need to be technologically savvy, and enjoy assisting others. 

What You'll Do

Responsibilities:

  • Identifies, investigates, and resolves users problems with computer software and hardware
  • Fields support calls, chat, email, and/or other communication from users with inquiries regarding software programming, connectivity, printing, and workstation hardware
  • Consults with users to determine steps and procedures taken to identify and resolve the problem
  • Applies knowledge of computer software, hardware, and procedures to solve problems
  • Guides users through diagnostic and troubleshooting processes, which may include the use of diagnostic tools and software and/or following verbal instructions
  • Collaborates with other team members to research and resolve problems
  • Collaborates with programmers to explain errors and/or recommend modifications in programs
  • Arranges service by software or hardware vendors to repair or replace defective products
  • Maintains knowledge of technology innovations and trends

What You'll Need

Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of experience as help desk and basic IT support
  • Expert knowledge of Windows 10
  • Familiarity with Mac OS is a plus
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory/Office 365
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 2013, 2016, Mac Mail, and Mac Outlook
  • Familiarity with various Mobile operating systems, including iOS and Android
  • Remote access solutions (VPN, Beyond Trust/Bomgar)
  • Familiarity with imaging software is a plus
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud is a plus
  • Familiarity with VoIP systems is a plus
  • Must be able to comfortably lift 50 pounds
