Job Overview

The Technical Project Manager is the lead subject matter expert regarding how to apply our proprietary Scorpion franchise technology systems to the website development of our clients sites. The Technical Project Manager works with the client and the website development team to scope and execute a functional website according to the clients needs and within the scope and capabilities of our franchise systems. You will be responsible for relaying that information to the appropriate developers and product developers and communicating limitations and costs to the client. You will need to provide scopes of work that take into account resources availability, project timeline and client budget. As a Technical Project Manager you will own parts in the project lifecycle that deal with technical needs and data management and mapping. You will be a vital part of the website development process and are expected to treat each project with the utmost importance. You will also develop quality system documentation and user manuals. You will help train and educate other team members on the capabilities of our franchise systems.

You will use your industry expertise to improve all aspects of project planning and resource management. As a Technical Project Manager you are adept at communicating with non-technical audiences and understand how to communicate technical requirements in easily understandable terms.

The goal of this role is to ensure that your clients (both internal and external) are given the best experience, and that the end product produced is a functional and high-quality website that is reliable, and achieves the client’s marketing goals and is user friendly.

What You'll Do

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, plan and develop requirements and scopes of work to fulfill the website and system technical needs for website projects
  • Fluently speak to Scorpion Franchise system capabilities and limitations to internal team members and clients
  • Determine and define clear deliverables, timelines, and required resources required for specific projects or initiatives
  • Update and maintain product / system documentation
  • Create automated processes to accomplish various functions, allowing human intervention at strategic points within the workflow
  • Responsible for team and cross-functional level communications; Will act as liaison between the team and the business
  • Participates in project design and phase reviews
  • Responsible for elevating critical business risks on projects to management
  • Ability to communicate fluently and concisely to senior leaders
  • Can translate complex engineering into easy to understand communication (written and verbal)Develops and maintains strong relationships with product development team to drive the needs of individual projects and larger product changes
  • Ability to interact with product managers, customer experience teams, other project managers and developers to achieve project success

What You'll Need

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in Technical Project Management
  • Experience working with digital products and working with cross-functional teams
  • Experience in managing significant, cross functional projects and/or initiatives
  • Comfortability translating product requirements into technical specifications
  • Experience with MS SQL Database and operating systems
  • Excellent written & verbal communication
  • Ability to self-manage and juggle multiple priorities
  • Extremely detail-oriented, and organized
  • Precise critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Strong work ethic and does what it takes to get the job done and naturally goes the extra mile
  • Comfortable communicating with clients
  • Experience using project management software such as, TeamGantt, Monday, Trello, Asana, ClickUp, Smartsheet
  • While our project process follows Waterfall methodology, experience with Agile is a plus
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Maintaining a solution-oriented mindset that accounts for the needs of all teams that interact with your product
