Job Overview
Purpose:
The People Operations Manager works within Scorpion’s Addison office to create an excellent employee experience through the consistent performance of all HR-related duties. Within the People Operations department, the People Operations Manager is responsible for tasks/projects in the following functional areas: Recruitment, HRIS & HCM administration, on-boarding, benefits administration, performance management, policy implementation, employee relations and employment law compliance.

- Care: The People Operations Generalist must fundamentally exhibit care on a daily basis and through ensuring employees are cared for, considered and accommodated, the standard is set for how each Scorpion employee, in turn, is responsible to care for Scorpion’s clients and their peers
- Experience: By providing employees with support and resources, the People Operations Generalist holds Scorpion accountable to the standard of experience that we commit to all clients
- Efficiency: The People Operations Generalist is responsible for providing efficiency to the company by being a resource of information and assistance which creates more time for each employee
What You'll Do
Essential Functions:
- Runs the recruitment process for the Addison office (i.e., assessments, reviews applications, interviews, etc.). This is a big part of the role
- Assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains the employee handbook and the policies and procedures manual
- Partners with the VP People Operations to communicate various human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards and other government regulations to employees and management
- Organizes and manages new-hire on-boarding while coordinating with learning and development to ensure a welcoming new hire experience
- Assists with evaluation of reports and decisions in relation to new HR initiatives and recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency
- Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems
- Distributes and monitors employee performance evaluations and ensures they are done in a timely manner (i.e. 30-60-90, bi-annual and Annual)
- Reviews benefits with employees and processes enrollment, cancellation or changes
- Organizes and manages annual open enrollment communications and election process
- Administer and manage leave programs
- Interprets and administers leave programs and policies in accordance with the applicable federal and state employment laws (FMLA, ADA, USERRA, PDL, etc.)
- Answers questions for employees & managers regarding leave
- Assists the VP People Operations in production and implementation of all HR Training initiatives

What You'll Need
Experience:
- 5 years of Human Resources experience
- 2 years in an HR leadership role
- 2 years of recruitment experience
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification (preferred)
