Michael A. Sauer

Chief Legal Officer

Michael attended The Johns Hopkins University, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering with an emphasis in Computer Programming. Michael subsequently attended law school, where he received his Juris Doctorate with an emphasis in Intellectual Property. During law school, he clerked for two Patent Administrative Judges at the United States Patent and Trademark Office Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences in the electrical engineering field.

Upon graduation, Michael joined a prestigious New York intellectual property firm, where he represented clients in all aspects of intellectual property, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. After several years, he returned to California and joined an internationally recognized firm in its Palo Alto, CA office as a patent litigator.

Since joining the Scorpion team, Michael has been directly involved in many different areas of the company and currently serves as Senior V.P. of Internet Marketing. In his role, he oversees the company's marketing teams in the management of all clients' ongoing online marketing campaigns. It his responsibility to ensure that all clients succeed, but more so, to ensure that clients are happy with their Scorpion experience and that we exceed their expectations.
