We are proud to announce that Scorpion has acquired award-winning digital marketing company Driven Local, with headquarters based in Islandia, New York. The acquisition brings together two leaders in the Internet marketing space. It gives Scorpion the ability to accelerate growth in some of our key industries, and it gives Driven Local clients access to industry-leading technology and digital marketing resources.

One of the many things that Scorpion and Driven Local have in common is they have both claimed a powerful presence in the franchise and home service industries. Our Scorpion executives are thrilled to see how the acquisition will help us bolster our presence within these service areas.
Scorpion was founded in 2001 and Driven Local in 2006. Since their inceptions, both companies have provided brands and businesses with website design, search engine optimization, paid search advertising, display advertising, social media marketing, video production, and other services.
The acquisition of Driven Local increases Scorpion’s employee count to more than 530 employees and brings the total number of offices to four—including Scorpion’s existing Valencia, California and Addison, Texas offices and now Driven Local’s Islandia, New York and Denver, Colorado offices. Through the acquisition, the Driven Local team is staying on board in their original offices, where they will continue to deliver outstanding digital campaigns and service.
Kevin Szypula, who served as CEO and co-founder of Driven Local, said the acquisition opens new doors of opportunity for the acquired company’s clientele.

Szypula is joining Scorpion’s executive team as Chief Advertising Officer. The rest of the Driven Local management team will fill key roles throughout the Scorpion organization that will best leverage their digital marketing and leadership skills.
