Scorpion employees are some of the hardest working people in the industry. Forgoing sleep, food, and sometimes maybe a little sanity, they work to benefit our clients. This makes it difficult for us to choose just one employee of the month! So we choose about a dozen and then randomly select one to have a donation made to the charity of their choice.
For January, the chosen Scorpion EOM was Director of Conversion Optimization, Katelin Shenberger. Katelin has been with Scorpion since 2011 and has proven herself to be an invaluable asset in every position she has held with the company. Currently, she works as a part of our VIP Team helping ensure campaigns are put in position to be immediately successful.
Katelin selected The Nature Conservancy to receive the donation in her honor. The Nature Conservancy is an organization that works to protect lands, waters, and animals that are under threat all over the world. They are active in all 50 states, as well as over 30 countries. From climate change to the availability of fresh water, from coral reefs to deserts, The Nature Conservancy is committed to protecting nature for the sake of the present, as well as the future.
“The state of the environment is easy to forget about, but it's arguably one of the biggest issues of our time,” said Katelin. “As an animal lover and someone who cares about nature in general, donating to the efforts of the Nature Conservancy was the clear choice for me.”
The Nature Conservancy is headquartered in Arlington, VA, but it operates globally with a worldwide volunteer board of directors. They tout themselves as using science to determine where they work, with whom they partner, and how they achieve their goals.
