For the month of April, Scorpion honored 14 men and women on our team with the title of Employees of the Month, aka our Quarterbacks of the Month. Can you tell our team is aching for the return of football season? And every great football team has to have a great quarterback. Lucky for us, we are bursting at the seams with solid players.
Of the team members we recognize each month, one is randomly selected to receive more than the standard fanfare. This person is given the opportunity to select a charity to which Scorpion will donate in their honor. This month, Executive Assistant Ally Hildenbrand was given the opportunity to choose a nonprofit close to her heart.
“I chose Adopt A Classroom because I wanted to know that this money would be going somewhere where it would have a real impact. $1,000 to a teacher and a classroom can go such a long way. Not a day goes by at Scorpion where I don’t learn something new, and I am excited to be a part of helping a classroom do the exact same thing.”
The Adopt A Classroom program provides classroom materials to teachers across America who teach kindergarten through 12th grade. The nonprofit’s goal is to connect teachers with the resources they need to help their students succeed in both academics and life. Adopt A Classroom recognizes that every year, teachers report spending more than $1.6 billion combined stocking their own classroom with supplies as a result of a lack of funding. It is estimated that over 2 million children have had their learning environment improved as a direct result of the funds provided through Adopt a Classroom.
If you’re interested in giving teachers a helping hand in their efforts to educate our children, we encourage you to donate anything you can. Every dollar makes a difference, and Scorpion is proud to help contribute to the organization’s cause. We hope you’ll do the same! You can donate here.
