In the month of November, Scorpion honored two separate employees for their hard work and dedication. The first employee honored as Employee of the Month (EOM) chose to give their donation to the Make a Wish Foundation, which works tirelessly to help grant wishes to children suffering from life-threatening diseases. On average, a child has a wish granted every 48 minutes. These wishes are granted through the help of our staff, volunteers, donors, and other compassionate people.

The second employee honored as an EOM chose to give their donation to the Child & Family Center. The Center strives to help build a healthier Santa Clarita Valley through focusing on better mental health, as well as behavioral and educational services. The Center began in 1976 as St. Stephen's Special School, which offered mental health services to parents and their children. From there, it evolved into the SCV Special Children's Center in 1982 and then the Santa Clarita Child & Family Development Center in 1991. Seven years later, it simplified its name to the Child & Family Center. Today, it helps more than 5,000 individuals (children and adults alike) with everything from prevention to intervention to therapeutic services and counseling.
