Scorpion Design's most recent Employee of the Month has chosen to donate money to fifth grade teacher, Linda Garber. Located in Henderson, Nevada, Ms. Garber's fifth grade classroom at Neil Twichel Elementary School was the proud recipient of a $500 donation made by Scorpion Cares. The contribution was made through AdoptaClassroom.org and will be used to encourage teacher empowerment and pupil success.
This month's honored employee specifically chose to support teacher Linda Garber for the encouragement and dedication that she has provided to her students. Time and again, Ms. Garber has extended herself to students, offering additional attention and inspiration that far exceed the duties of her position. In a classroom where some students struggle more than others, Ms. Garber has dedicated careful attention and praise to those who need it most, successfully guiding them through the intricacies of fifth grade curriculum.
Education remains one of the most important facets of our prosperous nation. Utilizing the Adopt-A-Classroom program, Scorpion Cares was able to contribute to the educational system by making a donation that will be used to help an underserved classroom in need. The program takes 100% of the donor's contribution, accessing none of the money for administration fees. This money is applied to the designated classroom in the form of online credit, and the teacher can then use the money to shop online for supplies and new ways to create opportunities for their students.
With the help of Scorpion Cares' donation, Ms. Garber will have the opportunity to purchase and supply her students with more learning materials, educational props and inspirational motivators. The impact she has made on the lives of so many past students can now be enhanced with the supplies she is able to purchase from the donation that was made to her.
