Why Scorpion Loves the Franchise Industry: Opportunity & the American Dream

Posted by Justin Mink

Why do we love the franchise industry? Our team at Scorpion is constantly inspired by our franchise clients. We love hearing about the excitement of launching a business, the resurrection of careers, the ability to send kids off to college, and even the first Christmas ever with loads of gifts under the tree.

We are reminded every day that franchising gives ambitious, hard-working people the ability to go into business for themselves, but not by themselves. Franchising represents the American Dream come to life – that regardless of who you are and where you come from, hard work and initiative can pay off.

While Scorpion has been helping businesses acquire customers online for 16 years, our dedication to the franchise industry began four years ago when a global multi-brand franchise organization asked us to help them create a better online strategy. Before we could deliver the right solution, we needed to learn more about the specific challenges faced by franchise businesses. So we started with “Why?” Why do people choose to buy a franchise? As we learned more about franchising, we discovered several common answers to that question.

  • They want to be a part of a turnkey business. Many franchisees were managers or even CEOs in their past lives and know how to run a business. They just need help getting started or growing to the next level.
  • They want an operational handbook to guide them as to what works and what mitigates the risk of bad decisions that can ultimately harm the business.
  • Most franchisees aren’t marketing or brand experts, so they want access to a successful brand and a built-in reputation.
  • They want to collaborate on best practices with their franchise peers and be a part of a bigger growth story.
  • They want access to cost-effective goods and services, which come with the greater buying power of partnering with a franchise.

Scorpion Helping Franchises Succeed

Scorpion set out to create a franchise Internet marketing solution that aligns with all of these goals. Today, we provide franchisors and their franchisees with a turnkey online marketing platform that helps franchises streamline their data across tens to thousands of locations. We provide franchises with distinctive website designs and content that elevates the brand’s image, which builds a stronger foundation for each franchisee. We also offer a marketing support team that is 100% aligned and committed to making each franchise client (and all of its franchisees) successful. As a result, our customers have told us we’ve helped them achieve higher return on investment than they ever thought possible.

At Scorpion, we admire the drive, personal dedication, and resourcefulness that comes with being a franchisee. We are privileged to support the franchising industry and the pursuit of the American dream, and to help power the success of our franchise clients.
