For one Scorpion employee, answering that question meant making a donation to The Nature Conservancy.
Every month Scorpion honors employees in different departments by designating them as employees of the month (EoMs). From this group, one employee of the month is chosen at random to pick a charity for Scorpion to provide a donation to.
For the month of February, Scorpion’s project manager Jamie Fort was asked to choose a charitable organization to receive a donation from Scorpion Cares (the philanthropic arm of the company).
And as a passionate supporter of environmental causes, Jamie chose the Nature Conservancy.
The Nature Conservancy is a non-profit organization that combats nature’s most-pressing conservation threats. With over 1 million members, they’ve helped protect more than 119 million acres of land and thousands of miles of rivers worldwide, while operating more than 100 marine conservation projects globally.
Moreover, the Nature Conservancy has worked to address conservation in more than 72 countries from Australia to Zambia.
Their wide-reaching success made them the obvious choice for Jamie.
